Privacy Policy

Your files
Files you open with this tool are processed entirely inside your browser. They are never transmitted to this site or to any third party, are never stored, and disappear from memory when you close the tab. This is not a policy promise you have to trust — it is a property of how the tool is built, and you can verify it by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads or by watching your browser's network tab.
What we do collect
Standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) kept by the hosting provider for security and troubleshooting. Aggregate, anonymous traffic statistics so we know which pages are useful.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising. Advertising partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to select and measure ads. They never receive your files, because your files never leave your device. The intended provider is Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other sites; you can read how Google uses data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services and opt out of personalised advertising in Google's ad settings. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set.
Third-party code
The tool itself uses none. The hashing and comparison code is written directly against browser APIs and served from this domain: no external library takes part in analysing your files.
The site loads two pieces of third-party code, and neither takes part in the analysis or has any way to reach your files: by the time those scripts run, your files are still on your disk and are never transmitted anywhere.
- Google AdSense, which handles advertising. It loads on the pages and may set cookies.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits. It sets no cookies and creates no identifier that follows you between visits. It receives the page address, where you arrived from, your browser and device type, and the country inferred from the connection. That is enough to know how many people come and what they read; it is not enough to know who you are, or to recognise you if you come back tomorrow.
That analytics tool was chosen for exactly that reason: the usual alternative sets cookies and builds a profile, which sits badly with a tool whose whole argument is that your files never leave your machine.
Your rights
Because we do not build user profiles or store personal data beyond access logs, there is very little to request or delete. The data controller is Julián Riveros; to exercise any right write to hola@filedupes.com or see the legal notice.
